Colorado... Is So Beautiful!

Colorado... Is So Beautiful!

We arrived in Colorado last week and found this amazing little town called Silt. We are staying at a wonderful campground here in Silt Co. we found out about an amazing local treasure called “Harvey Gap State Park”. In this park is a crystal clear, aqua blue reservoir. We bought a small blowup boat and took it out on the lake for a relaxing day. If you are ever in the area of Silt Colorado, give it a whirl.

Chicago Northwest KOA Camping

Chicago Northwest KOA Camping

We really enjoyed finding this little gem during out stay to participate in the Northbrook Art Festival. Some of the sites have patios with a swing and fire pit. There are also sites with a dog fenced area. Very nice campground and facilities. We would highly recommend it.

We visited the vibrant city of Chicago last week. We took the opportunity to see a few spots in the city after participating in Northbrook Art Festival. We enjoyed seeing "The Cloud" and the beautiful fountain. We were a little disappointed that we weren't able to get very close to the cloud. I am guessing due to covid they had a fence around it.

I ate the almond crusted swordfish and Bill had the cornbread grouper. Bill was very impressed. I was not, but maybe I don’t like swordfish (it was my first time having it).

You will want to make reservations on the back deck. There you will get the best view of the moon rising. It’s truly magical.
